Divi WordPress Theme

Once you get a host, you need a dood theme so that you can start things off right with your blog. Sure, you can go with a free theme at first, but there are a ton of advantages to going with a premium theme, such as speeding up your workflow and having an overall nice look to your blog.

I’ve tried most of the premium themes out there and the one that struck me as being the best is a very versatile little theme called Divi (the theme which this blog uses).

Why did we decide to go with Divi and not some other theme. Well, because Divi has something called a visual builder which alliows you to see what you’re designing/editing as you edit it. Sure the WordPress style of writing blog posts is just fine, but after some time you want something more, and Divi is that next level.

What I really like about Divi is that you can pay just once and get support for life, not to mention free updates for life. Now they do have a yearly plan that’s a lot cheaper, but if you plan to be blogging for more than one year, then a good long-term investment in a theme would be Divi.

I’m not going to lie and tell you I’m not biased. I am definietely biased and therefore have to strongly advocate Divi as being the ultimate theme that one could get, the crem de la creme of blogging themes if you will. And I’m not just saying that because I’m biased though, they really are all that. They’re not just a theme, they’re a real-time visual page builder that basically turns your WordPress into a completely new piece of software, a truly easy to use point and click blog/website builder that makes building a blog 10 times efficient, the WordPress we’ve always wanted, and Divi is just that!

Just check out what they have to offer, and then go look at all the other blogging themes, and see if you can find one better than Divi (that offers a lifetime of support and a lifetime of updates, which currently has a user base of 400,00 plus and growing), and if you do find something better, then let me know, as I’d love to hear about it. If there was anything better than Divi I’d be the firt on board. However, I’ve tried them all and nothing beats Divi, not only that, Divi integrates perfectly with Aweber and iPage, two other tools I’m a big fan of.

iPage Review 2017

Let’s face it, hosting is the backbone of any blog, and therefore is the foundation of your online business. You need a good host, and without one, you don’t have an online business. Therefore, it’s very important to go with the right company when choosing a host, as it can make or break your business.

I’m going to be frank with you with the fact that this review is going to be totally biased, and it’s going be totoally skewed, because I love iPage, but it’s going to be 100% honest!

The fact of the matter is that most of the hosting companies out there including Blue Host and Host Gator are owned by the EIG group, and while they seem to portray quite different images, the real fact of the matter is that you are getting virtually the same hosting in terms of server speed, support, and the tools that you have in your C-Panel.

With all of these other hosting providers your being charged more, but with iPage, you’re being charged just $1.99 a month and get a free domain name for your first year. There is nothing that really beats that deal.

Now, if you’re going to be hosting some adult content, then iPage is not for you, because they don’t allow it, and in that case I would recommend Host Gator. You can see my previous review on Host Gator here.

However, if you’re starting a blog, you really can’t go wrong with iPage.

Don’t think just because they are so cheap that you’re not getting your full cups worth of value, you totally are. Many a big money blogger uses iPage, including me, and you don’t really need anything else.

Not only are they just as good as all the other mainstream hosting companies, but they make it quite easy to get up and running with WordPress and are full of tutorials on the matter. You can Click Here To Check Out A WordPress Tutorial That Will Get You From WordPress install to blogging in 4 minutes!, a tutorial done by iPage I might add.

If you like the image of another hosting provider, the by all means pay more to go with another host, but I’m telling you guys, I’ve tried them all, and there is really no point in paying more than you need to for hosting. $1.99 a month is the best deal out there, you just won’t find anything better than that.

As far as support goes, with all the hosting companies you may have to wait a bit to get a support rep, and that just depends on how many people are in need of support during the time you happen to be contacting them. Though, you’re really not getting much a difference in quality of support. You’ll always have good or bad experiences with support no matter which host you go with.

However, as an overall package of things coming at very high level of value for the price, you really just can’t beat iPage on that.

Thus, iPage receives my highest recommendation as the host to go with for anyone building a blog!

Aweber Review 2017

Disclosure: We are compensated for our reviews. Click here for details.

If you’re serious about blogging, you’re going to need yourself an autoresponder. I strongly believe the best autoresponder is Aweber.

Why do I believe Aweber is the best?
Well, for one, all the big money bloggers use Aweber. Secondly, Aweber is the first autoresponder ever created. Thirdly, Aweber has both chat and phone support. Fourthly, their customer service is top-notch. Fifthly, Aweber has an excellent deliver-ability rate, which means they get your message in your customer’s inbox and not in their spam-box.

Well that’s just all fine and dandy, but some of you might be thinking: I’ve got to pay for this thing monthly, that’s ridiculous, why would I pay monthly fees for something I’m not even sure if I really need?

Look, you need it, because if you’re going to grow an email list, you need a service that enables you to do so and as I said, Aweber is the best for that.

Look, I’ve tried Mailchimp, and GetResponse and a bunch of other competing services. You know the real problem with Mailchimp, it’s that they don’t allow affiliate marketing, yes you heard me right, they do not allow you to send affiliate links to your list and if you are caught doing so they will shut you down and you lose your list. Mailchimp is great if you want to email a list anything but an affiliate link, but if you’re going to monetize your list, you will need to start sending affiliate links at one point and Mailchimp isn’t good for that. Don’t believe me, then just contact Mailchimp about it, it’s in their terms of service, they DON’T allow affiliate marketing.

As for GetResponse, they’re a nice polish company and they’re good, don’t get me wrong, but they don’t have phone support. If there is some problem and you have to yell at someone to fix things, you can’t do it with get response. When I have a problem or if something doesn’t work right, I need a fix right away, and so I need support I can call who will fix the problem NOW, and Aweber has that, GetResponse just doesn’t.

I’ve also tried some WordPress plugins that claim to be autoresponders as good as Aweber. Well one that I tried put me on the vendors email list upon buying, and the emails that I got from the vendor selling the WordPress plugin autoresponder were made using his WordPress  plugin autoresponder, they were actually emails made using Aweber. Why would a person sell an autoresponder plugin I thought and not even use it to send me emails? Why would they use Aweber? The answer is plain and simply, because Aweber will get your email in someone’s inbox and not their spam-box.

Now I don’t like paying monthly fees and would love it some WordPress plugin that I pay for once could do the job, and I’ve probably tried just about all of them that exist and I don’t believe any of them can. When first starting out with Aweber, yeah it’s $19 a month and that’s a lot of change, I get it, but you have to look at it this way, it’s a communications expense, just like your cell phone bill, or anything else you use to communicate.

You want to seriously build an email list and wan the thing to go in someone’s inbox, then it’s Aweber. There’s a reason why all the big money bloggers use Aweber and it’s exactly for the reason that it makes them more money than it costs them, because it works, and the emails go in the inbox! I can’t stress that enough, because all the other hundreds of other autoresponders out there simply don’t get in the inbox.

All of this said, what I also like about Aweber is it’s got a simple interface, is easy to use, and they have such excellent customer support that they’ll walk you through everything. You can’t say that about any of the others.

If I do find something better than Aweber, I’ll let you know, but if you want build a list, and email them, then you can’t afford to go cheap on this one. Maybe you could go cheap on your hosting or on some other area, but you don’t want to go cheap on your autoresponder. Trust me on this guys! Aweber is where it’s at. It’s such a powerful tool, and essential if you’re going to build any kind of serious following. If there was something better, I’d be the first to post about it here, but Aweber is without a doubt the best tool you can get for your blog hands down!

Yes, I’m a raving fan of Aweber! And with good reason, as I simply couldn’t do what I do without them! So much so that I’d rather have Aweber than my cell phone, and that’s an understatement!

Blogging Tools I Use

A lot of people wonder what paid tools I use when I blog. Just check my side bar, because everything I use is right there.

The combination I use is a bit tricky. If you’ve never even written a blog post though, I’d recommend you check out the Basics section of my site to get you to the point where you’re posting. Click Here to go there!

You’ll have to enter your email in a form at the bottom of the page to be able to see the page. When you enter your email in the form you’ll be put on my list, which means you’ll get all kinds of cool information about blogging from me, such as the latest blogging news, and info on the latest blogging strategies and tools!

Once you’ve figured that out, and you’re posting like a champ, it’s time you take things up a notch and get yourself an autoresponder. Click Here for more info on that.

Once you feel like your blog is ready for the next step, you may want to consider the tools I use, which are all in the side bar.

On top of all that though, I also use a vast assortment of WordPress plugins that you’ll have to join my list to find out about.

HostGator Review 2017

Click Here to check out HostGator for yourself!

One of the best hosts around (as far as value is concerned) has for a long time been HostGator.

HostGator is a pretty free host that let’s you mind your own business allowing you to host nearly any kind of content imaginable. They even let you host websites that contain adult content, which very few hosting companies allow. Not saying to start an adult website, but just saying the option is there.

I feel the alligator character on all their stuff is entirely unnecessary, but it makes sense I suppose, since the company is based in Florida and they apparently have a lot of alligators there. I suspect if you were ever to go to HostGator’s Headquarters in Florida you’d see some alligators for sure! Heck, alligators might even run the company.

However, alligators aside, it doesn’t change the fact that the hosting service you get from HostGator is a cut above the rest, which is why I mostly have good things to say about them in this review. Seriously, HostGator is a great deal, and for many reasons.

HostGator websites load quickly, they use a cPanel which makes things easy, and for the value and stability of what you get, it’s a pretty darn good deal!

The only negative point I see is that sometimes you have to wait a bit to be able to talk to support, but on the flip-side I’ve had times where my wait took less than a minute, so I guess it all depends on the timing.

I love HostGator and they are one of the top hosts I would recommend, you can’t really go wrong with them, so if your looking for an awesome host, I would highly recommend you definitely check them out!

http://bloggerblogger.com/hostgator-special-discountI actually use a few hosts and HostGator is one of them, and if I could only go with one host, HostGator would be one of my top picks for best all around host!

Do I recommend them over a host like iPage whose banner I have up there in my sidebar. Well, if you’re a beginner I’d go with iPage, as they’re a bit cheaper, quite beginner friendly, and good for just jumping into things for the first time in my opinion, but once you know what you’re doing and you’re looking to take things up a notch, HostGator makes for an excellent host! Though I still use iPage, and HostGator for that matter!

What’s actually the difference between HostGator and iPage? Well, HostGator has a full-fledged cPanel (the cPanel is the dashborad where you control your websites) with a whole lot of junk that you don’t even need, but you may need some day, whereas iPage has a very simple cPael which is easy to make sense of for the simpletons like me. However, once you’ve mastered all the icons you can click on in iPage’s dashboard, and if you get bored with it, then you could switch to HostGator.

Though if all you’re going to do is run a blog, then perhaps you don’t need all the bells and whistles that HostGator has, although you might want them if you were planning to do some more funky stuff later.

All of that said, if you were planning to create some blog containing adult content, iPage wouldn’t have you as they simply won’t allow it, so HostGator would be a perfect choice for you in that case.

All in all, HostGator is awesome and will likely be the only host you ever need no matter how many blogs or websites you build, as they’re capable of handling everything that you could ever imagine putting on the Internet!
